After my AmeriCorps year, I left Boys Hope Girls Hope of Baltimore a parting gift: a huge painting which some of the girl scholars helped me complete, symbolizing all of the important aspects of the program and 501(c)3. We all worked together to come up with what we wanted in the painting, and I sketched up and planned everything based on the input.
